Teignmouth is a small town, both coastal and at the mouth of the Teign Estuary. In south Devon, it lies on the east coast and harbours a thriving arts quarter. You will find traditional beach fun on the main front, plus a more unusual but delightful back beach (some call it the river beach) just behind. Here are pubs with food and beer gardens right on the red sandy beach, near the crabbing pier and close to the rather lovely fishing and freight docks. All on a small scale. more interesting than touristy. It’s lovely.
